Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information PixelKit (“PixelKit”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects when you visit www.mypixelkit.com (the “Site”), how that information is used, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Your files never leave your device
All PixelKit tools process your images and PDF files locally, inside your own web browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store, copy or share them. They are held in your browser’s memory while you work and are discarded when you close or reload the page.
To run some tools, your browser downloads program code or model files from third-party content delivery networks. For example, the Remove Background tool downloads its AI model from IMG.LY’s servers, and the image compression library may be loaded from jsDelivr. These requests do not contain your files, but like any request made by a browser they reveal standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to the provider that serves them.
2. Information we collect
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used, for example which pages and tools are visited, how long visits last, your approximate location (such as country or city), the type of device and browser you use, and the page that referred you. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, the date and time of your request, the page requested and your browser type. These logs are used to keep the Site secure and working properly.
- Advertising data. Our advertising partners may collect information through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 3.
Information you give us
If you contact us through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to read and answer your message. Messages are stored in our website’s administration area and delivered to our email inbox.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information.
3. Cookies and advertising
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We and our partners use cookies to measure how the Site is used and to show advertising.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. In connection with this:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your browsing history.
You can learn more in Google’s explanation of how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before cookies that are not strictly necessary are used, and you can change your choices at any time.
Most browsers also let you view, block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies does not stop the PixelKit tools from working.
4. How we use information
- To operate, maintain and secure the Site.
- To understand which tools are useful and to improve them.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To display the advertising that keeps the Site free.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not rent or sell your name, email address or messages to anyone.
5. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for advertising and analytics cookies where consent is required), our legitimate interest in running a secure and useful website, and, when you contact us, the steps needed to respond to your request.
6. How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as far as needed for that purpose:
- our hosting provider, which stores the Site and its server logs;
- Google, for analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense);
- content delivery networks that serve program code and model files to your browser.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of PixelKit, our users or others.
7. How long we keep information
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer them and handle any follow-up, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, please use our contact page. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and because your files are processed on your own device, they are never exposed to our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we do hold.
11. Links to other websites
The Site may contain links to websites we do not operate, including through advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
13. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or about how your information is handled, please reach us through our contact page.
